The Ramsbottom Centre
Located in Ramsbottom | Providing support to adults with a learning and/ or physical disability | Service offers day time support | This is not a CQC registered service.
Ramsbottom is part of our day service for adults with a learning disability and we can support up to 14 people here on any one day.
We take a person centred approach to care and will support people to develop skills and knowledge to help them to both express themselves and to feel confident within their local community.
We can support people to take part in a wide range of activities, either at our bases across Bury or outand about. Here are some examples of the regular activities people take part in:
- cookery skills for pleasure, and home personal development
- arts and crafts
- health and lifestyle – gym, swimming, walking, movement to music, Wheels for All, toning table
- multi sensory stimulation/relaxation
- college and education support
- volunteering and work based assessments and training
- developing relationships with your local community
We also work with people to develop an individually tailored support plan with appropriate risk assessments. This makes sure we offer a service that is respectful and meets people's specific needs. This may include support with the following:
- personal care, including supporting to go to the bathroom
- support with meals and nutrition
- support with medication
- positive behavioural support
- safeguarding
- advice, information and signposting to other professionals/services
Facilities on site:
- multi purpose main hall leading onto paved patio area
- café area separated from main hall by folding divider
- meeting/activity room with comfy seating
- changing room with tracking hoist and changing bed
- accessible toilet
- kitchen with accessible work surface
- information, advice and signposting
- car park available for visitors
- 2 disabled parking spaces at the side of building
