REACH Retreat is a couple of miles away from the M6 motorway in Carnforth and there is a railway station in the town, with links to Manchester, Morecambe, Lancaster, Arnside and more. To find out more about South Lakes Leisure Village, click here.

Please note that we don't provide care and support at the lodge.

Prices for new bookings from 20/03/2025:

Our nightly rate is £189*

Minimum stay of 2 nights.

*Additional charges will be added: £75 cleaning and a refundable £100 breakage deposit which will be refunded a week after your stay has ended.

You can ask for additional cleans for an extra fee  - you must book this prior to your stay with the REACH Retreat bookings team.

About the lodge:

  • sleeps 7 people (2 double bedrooms, 1 single en suite, 1 double sofa bed in lounge)

                            • level, tarmacked roads and footpaths around the leisure village

                                                          • Our enquiry system is only manned Monday - Friday during business hours. If you send an enquiry outside of these times, we will get back to you as soon as we can. Bookings requested outside business hours will be made on a first come, first served basis.

                                                              Want to know more about how our lodge was designed?

                                                              At the beginning of 2023, we decided to buy a holiday lodge because people we support told us it was difficult for them to find accessible, affordable holidays.

                                                              The lodge was built to make it accessible for people with specific mobility needs, with plenty of space to share with friends, family and carers. We want everyone to feel welcome so our lodge had to be family and dog friendly; we chose Carnforth with the help of our Persona Your Voice Committee.

                                                              We regularly discussed the design of the lodge at committee meetings and we made changes to the layout including:

                                                              • making sure both bathrooms are wet rooms 
                                                                • making sure one bedroom has a profiling bed 
                                                                  • replacing the two single beds in one of the rooms with a double bed 
                                                                    • adding a sofa bed in the lounge
                                                                      • adding a large utility cupboard in the hallway that can house mobility equipment and if necessary, provide a parking space and charging point for electric mobility equipment

                                                                        We're still adapting the lodge to our guests' feedback. In January 2026 we bought a new chair that has space underneath it for people's hoists to slide in if they are swapping from a wheelchair.
